Fairytale house tea cosy, part 3

Flowers and leaves

You can decorate the house to your liking, in the Internet there are many schemes for flowers

and leaves.

I will show you how I decorate my houses.

You can use some tone colored yarn, the leaves will look very realistic. Or you can tint them

  with acrylic paints yourself.

Flowers

Small flower

1. 5 sc in a magic ring (or 6 sc - optional)
2. start in the 1st st: [1 sl st, 2 ch, 3 dc, 2 ch] - repeat for each stitch of the 1st round

Finish with a slip stitch, fasten and cut off the yarn. Leave a yarn tail for sewing.

В кольцо амигуруми провязываем 5 сбн.

 Or you can crochet  Large flower with 3ch and 3 triple crochets in the 2nd round 

Use beads, seed beads, sequins to decorate flowers. Tint the middle of flower with acrylic paint.

Snail

Shell

(I use cotton yarn «Rose» Vita (100% cotton, 150 m/50 g).

• work in back loops only

round 1: 5 sc in a magic ring

2: 1 inc, 4 sc (6)

3: 1 inc, 5 sc (7)

4: 1 inc, 6 sc (8)

5: 8 sc

6: 1 inc, 7 sc =9

7: 9 sc

8: 1 inc, 8 sc =10

9: 10 sc

10: 1 inc, 9 sc =11 

11: 11 sc

12-26:make 1 in each round =25 sc;

27: 1 sc, [1 inc, 7 sc]*3 = 28 sc.

• Finish with a slip stitch.

The result is on the photo а below.

Make 1 ch, the crochet in spiral rounds along the free front loops in direction the 1st round (photo б).

Finish with 1 slip stitch in the top of the part. Fasten and cut off the yarn, leave a long yarn tail (photo в). Stuff a little the top part of the shell.

Insert this tail into a needle, sew through the stitches in the direction the edge (photo г).

Tighten slightly to roll the shell (photo д).

Sew the shell coils to each other. Hide the tail.

Body

(I used cotton yarn Iris (300 m/50 g)

1. Make 2 body parts according the diagrams below:

столбик без накида - single crochet

петля подъема - turn chain

прибавка - increase

ВЕРХНЯЯ ЧАСТЬ ТЕЛА УЛИТКИ - the upper part of the body

НИЖНЯЯ ЧАСТЬ ТЕЛА УЛИТКИ - the lower part of the body

2. Put together the parts and join them with sc-round. Stuff before completing the round. Finish

  with 1 slip st. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing the snail to the house.

Eyes

I used 2 ‘pearl’ beads for the eyes and thin cotton yarn.

1. Use thin wire for the eye legs. Insert it in the bead and twist in half.

2. Make 2 half-balls for eyes that match to your beads.

It’s my version:

round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring;

2: [1 inc, 2 sc]*2 =8 

3-4: 8 sc

Finish with 1 sl st, leave a long yarn tail for wrapping the wire.

Install the bead in the half-ball (photo б).

Paint the black pupil with acrylic paint or gel polish. Cover the wire with the glue a little and wrap

them with yarn (make 2-3 wrapping layers).

Bend the wire ends in shape “ L”, cover with the glue and install them into the snail body. Sew them,

fix and cut the yarn. Hide the tail.

Sew the body and the shell together (add the filler in the shell).

Sew the snail to the house around the body.
