Winnie-the-Pooh (a finger toy) Free Crochet Pattern

One day I bought for my grandson a book about Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Then I wished to crochet some of its characters, as they are drawn in the book. So, here they are

Three toys - Winnie, Rabbit and Piglet - are finger puppets. Kanga has a skeleton inside.

I shared my pattern for Rabbit here . Today I give the pattern for Winnie the Pooh. And Kanga will be the next time.

Winnie the Pooh Free Crochet Pattern

I used cotton yarn and hook 1.5 mm, but acrylic is good too.

Head

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. inc around (12)
3. [inc, sc] around (18)
4. [inc, 2 sc] around (24)
5. [inc, 3 sc] around (30)
6. [inc, 4 sc] around (36)
7. [inc, 5 sc] around (42)

8 - 11: sc around (42)

12. [dec, 5 sc] around (36)

13. [dec, 4 sc] around (30)

14. [dec, 3 sc] around (24)

15. [dec, 2 sc] around (18)

stuff with filler

Body

1. 6 sc in magic ring

Don’t cut off the thread, leave aside the body. We need an inner detail - Thimble.

You can work with yarn any color.

Thimble

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. inc around (12)
3. [inc, sc] around (18)
4. [inc, 2 sc] around (24)
5. sc around (24)

and so on to about  4 - 4.5 см, try on to the body and your finger.

Foot, 2 pieces

with dark brown yarn

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. inc around (12)

6. 4 dec (8)

stuff a little with filler, put together the opposite sides, join them with 4 sc. Leave a long tail for sewing to the body

Continue crocheting the body (the detail description you can find in the Rabbit Pattern)

Stuff the body, insert the thimble inside, join both the detail with sc. You can also join the feet at same time (or sew them later)

Arm, 2 pieces

with dark brown yarn

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. inc around (12)
3. [inc, sc] around (18)

6 - 12 (7 rounds altogether): sc around (12)

stuff a little

13. dec around (6)

Sew the head to the body. You can crochet the head and the body as a whole detail: after making the 16th round of the head make additional sc-round, then begin the 3rd round of the body.

Ear, 2 pieces

with dark brown yarn

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. 5 inc, turn
3. 9 sc

Snout

1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. [sc, inc] around (9)
3. 9 sc
4. [2 sc, inc] around (12)

Sew the ears, the snout to the head. Attach the eyes, embroider the nose.

Sew the arms to the body.
