Fairytale house tea cosy, part 2

 Windows

1) Make the windows as a perfect circle. The size of your windows have to match your house size.

2) Make 2 chains with color yarn. Join the chains in the middle loops (photo A below).

3) Place the chains on the window using the crochet hook, fix the yarn ends (photo Б).

4) Crochet a slip stitch-round in the last window round (photo В).

5) Crochet 1 sc-round along the previous slip st-round (insert the hook in the center of the stitch),

( photo Г). Hide all the yarn tails. 

We have made the window with a frame.

Note: Don’t make increases if your frame yarn is thicker than your windows yarn. If the

frame yarn is the same thickness, then make 6 increases, as in the usual crocheted circle.

Our windows are ready!

Door

1) The door is made according a diagram of a half-oval. You can add some loops to basic chain

in order to make it higher, or some rows to the schema in order to make the door widther.

The door is ready (photo А).

2) Embroider door butts (photo Б). I used viscose yarn Tulip YarnArt.

3) Make a door handle. 

Fix the yarn on the wrong side. Pull the yarn to the right side. Use some stick, put it on the door

and make several sewing stitches around. I decorated the door with a decorative door lock.

Fix the yarn on the wrong side, pull it to the right side. Remove the stick and wrap the handle loop

with the yarn. Fix the yarn on the wrong side.

Decoration the house

1) Sew the door and the windows to the house.

2) Make a storm window around.

Crochet a slip stitch round around the window (you can use a needle seem as well), (photo A).

Make along sc-round with 4-6 increases. Then finish with 1 slip stitch round under the stitches

to make the storm window more embossed (photo Б).

3) Make the door frame in the same way. Use some different types of crochet (on the photo

below: the red brackets - single crochets, violet - half double crochets, green - double crochets).

Make 3 increases along the round part of the door. Finish with 1 slip stitch round.

Here is the result.

4) Sew and decorate the opposite window.

• Finish with a sl st. Fasten and cut the yarn. Leave a long yarn tail to embroider white dots
• on the hat.

Mushroom skirt: 

Add the yarn and work in the free front loops of the 7th round:  

1. inc around (16)
2. inc around (32)

• Finish with 1 sl st in the 1st st. Cut the yarn. Hide a tail.

• Don’t cut the yarn, stuff the hat a little, put the leg upon and join both parts, crocheting
• sc through their opposite stitches. 
• Finish the hat with 1 slip stitch round under the stitches of the joining round. Cut off and
• hide the yarn tail.

• Stuff the part
• Fasten and cut off the yarn, leave a long yarn tail for embroidering dots.

• Don’t cut the yarn, stuff the hat, put the parts together and sew the hat to the leg.

Embroider the white dots on the mushroom hats. Sew the mushrooms to each other and to the tea cosy.
